Don't Use Wiki as an Accounting System
Saturday, November 15, 2008Instead of using proper accounting services to manage their
finances people are more and more turning to the web and wiki to find their accounting answers and the tools to do it themselves.
This is a mistake.
1st, wiki is an obligatory site that allows people to post information that they feel will be helpful or relevant. However, they do not have any specifications on what the persons qualifications need to be or whether or not they even have any. in other words, anyone can post this information. most of the time the information has errors included, and more often than not, the information is completely wrong.
contact a CPA, bank representative or financial planner when looking into doing your own finances and seek advice. Do they have any home tools they recommend? Are there any free services they offer? is the money you save by doing these finances yourself going to outweigh the losses your probable to incur doing the calculations without professional assistance? These are all questions that I don't recommend to look for answers to on Wikipedia either.
